Trust Matters
NEW YORK PEACE TALKS 2019
11 December 2019
6:00 – 8:00 PM ETZ
Salesforce Tower
Trust is the glue that holds our societies together. An intangible social contract we make with each other. Trust is built over time, yet it can be broken in an instant. How do we build trust? And what does it take to re-build trust when it has been broken?
The first edition of the New York Peace Talks will be held on 11 December 2019 at the Salesforce Tower. This event is organized under the theme “Trust Matters.”
In our globalized world, the meaning of trust may vary across sectors, however, the essence of trust as a pillar for peace remains. Trust is the glue that holds relationships, societies and economies together. Through a series of 8-minute talks, speakers will share their personal stories and experiences, to highlight their efforts to promote trust. Speakers come from across different professional and personal backgrounds to emphasize that each and every one of us, regardless of our age and background, can contribute to promoting trust and peace in our communities and beyond.
The New York Peace Talks is a public event co-organized by Interpeace and Salesforce.org. Salesforce.org is a dedicated social impact team that empowers nonprofits, educational institutions, and philanthropic organizations with the best technology and resources to change the world.
