Ibaa Abusin is an International Development MA holder and currently HD Centre’s Horn of Africa Social Media Expert. Overseeing social media analysis on Sudan and Ethiopia and providing support to local actors.

Ibaa is an experienced researcher focused on supporting peace talks and mediation through open-sourced data collection and analysis, previously providing support to the Sudanese Ministry of Justice as their lead data analyst and leading research design and analysis with Sudan Research and Consultancy Group.

Formally trained by data analysis organizations, Ibaa seeks to use her experience to highlight the role social media plays in catalyzing as well as nullifying conflict and violence.
