Biography
Daria Mykolenko was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. She studied at the National Music Academy of Ukraine 2010-2020 (Master of Music and Post-graduate course) and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Bachelor in Journalism).
In the Opera studio of the National Music Academy of Ukraine she performed the following roles: Susanna and Barbarina (Mozart “Le Nozze di Figaro”), Amore (Gluck “Orpheus and Eurydice”), Monika (Menotti “The Medium”), Pamina, 1 Dame (Mozart “Die Zauberflöte”), Bastienne (Mozart “Bastien and Bastienne”), Countess Ceprano and a Page (Verdi “Rigoletto”).
Since 2016 Daria Mykolenko is a soloist at Kyiv’s municipal opera and ballet theatre. Daria perfomed close to 25 roles in operas and musicals: Despina (Mozart “Cosi fan tutte”), Zerlina (Mozart “Don Giovanni”), Juliette (Gounod “Romeo et Juliette”), Susanna and Barbarina (Mozart “Le Nozze di Figaro”), Luigia (Donizetti “Viva la Mamma”), Bastienne (Mozart “Bastien and Bastienne”). She has also participated in concerts and special projects.
She actively collaborates with orchestras: The National Ensemble of soloists “Kyivska kamerata”, Kyiv Symphony Orchestra, The National Chamber Ensemble “Kyiv Soloists”, National Academic Orchestra of Folk Instruments of Ukraine. Daria also voiced the Netflix cartoon “Over the Moon”.
Daria Mykolenko was awarded a scholarship for young artists in the musical field by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Today, Daria is a resident of the Grand Théâtre de Genève.
Daris is also a professional ballroom dancer (Silver Champion of Ukraine and finalist of World tournaments in the Netherlands and Poland).
