GENEVA, 28 May 2021 – After going fully digital in 2020, the 2021 Geneva PeaceTalks will return to an in-person and digital format in 2021.
Organised on Tuesday 21st September 2021, the International Day of Peace, the 2021 Geneva PeaceTalks will welcome speakers to share their experiences and reflections on the theme of “Recovering better for an equitable and sustainable world.”
Peace needs to be built, shaped and strengthened every day. Through our words and actions we can all contribute through making small changes. Both 2020 and 2021 have been challenging years for populations around the world facing not only a global health crisis, but also other imminent crises and issues: climate change, racism, sexism and insiduous systems of oppression.
The event will take place at the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), Building E, Room XVIII from 4:00pm to 5:15pm CET. There will be a limited amount of in-person places seats and the event will also be livestreamed online. The list of participating speakers will be announced shortly.
The Geneva Peace Talks is a public event brought to you by the United Nations Office at Geneva, Interpeace and the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform, the Swiss Government, Salesforce and Mirabaud to celebrate the International Day of Peace.
