You Don't Need Permission to Help Others

Lliana Bird
 07:18

Event: London Peace Talks
Location: City Hall
Date: 03/11/2016

“You don’t need permission from anyone to go out and do your bit. You don’t need permission to show compassion to your fellow man, woman and child, and you definitely, as I have learned, don’t need permission to help refugees.”

In this very personal talk, Lliana talks about the importance of helping others and how she co-founded Help Refugees a grassroots organisation which has gone on to become the biggest provider of aid to Calais and Dunkirk, and expanded all over the rest of Europe providing vital humanitarian aid and assistance to tens of thousands of refugees every day. Lliana is also a radio DJ & broadcaster, currently on Radio X (formerly Xfm).
